Sometimes I'm not crazy about having so many tiles in our house. But they are rather handy for math.
In the latest "Maths Quest" book, the Museum of Mysteries, SpiderGirl is presented with the problem of finding the number that is not a perfect square. Is 9 a square number? Can we use 9 tiles to make a square? How about 16? 25? 32? Losing count? No problem, let's use counters to mark them.
